Today is December 24, Christmas Eve 2020, and we have a pandemic that has mutated and now is affecting younger people. We have a medical system that is being overwhelmed with patients do to COVID 19.

Tomorrow is December 25, Christmas Day 2020, and we must focus on the birth of Jesus who’s very birth marked the beginning of a life of service and the ultimate sacrifice.

On December 23, 2020, President Donald Trump pardoned 26 of his friends, some of whom remained loyal to him during investigations. Instead of fighting for the citizens who elected him and providing leadership, he decided to retreat to his resort. He is certainly not acting like a politician who wants to run again in the next election.

There are 27 days left until the inauguration ceremony for President Elect Joe Biden. Those 27 days could also mark the death of over 81000 US citizens due to the virus.

Much like the anticipation of Jesus’ birth, we are waiting for a savior to come in and save us from this pandemic. While the virus will continue to reshape behavior, we have the ability to protect ourselves and protect each other by two simple methods.

We can always were face protection and maintain a healthy distance. This has proven to be a challenge so far, but we must insist that others respect our right to practice facemask wearing and social distancing if it means that we preserve the lives of our love ones.

24, 25, 26, and 27 are all significant numbers, but the ONE is the most important and Christ is still the reason to be joyous this Holiday Season.
