Turning Outputs to Inputs

1–2 minutes

To read

In about a week I have nearly filled a 5 gallon container with food scraps. Inevitably when food begins to spoil, we throw it out. Since we are eating more raw foods like grapes and cantaloupes, we have abundant sources of potential compost input.

The compost will go into my garden later this Spring as compost tea and microbe rich compost. Once we harvest the vegetables and herbs, the process can start all over again.

Turning outputs into inputs is nothing new to us.
