Creating safe community spaces

Growing up in Tibbee, we always come rome freely in our community. We could feel safe when we were playing basketball at the Center. We felt safe playing football in my parent’s front yard or a pasture free of livestock.

Although Tibbee is very much the same rural family friendly community, the buzz of children running and playing has stopped.

Now that the median age has changed, how can we create safe spaces for kids and aging adults to share experiences?

One suggestion is to create an age neutral playground and recreation center. Luckily we have such a great canvas in the form of the new community center building under construction. It is the perfect accessible place for a family friendly gathering area. Trust Is Built By Engaging Everyone.
